RP0189-2002 RP0189-2002 On-Line Monitoring of Cooling Waters
Revised in 2002. Describes devices used for on-line monitoring of fouling, corrosion, and other parameters in recirculating cooling tower water systems. Methods for collecting test data to determine fouling and corrosion rates are presented. The data are used for predicting the expected service life of heat-exchange equipment, optimizing cooling system operation, detecting operating problems and upset conditions, monitoring corrective actions taken when such conditions occur, assisting in problem solving, and evaluating alternative chemical treatment programs.
