This guide will assist end-users in the selection of dust collectors to be used in conjunction with containment systems to control emissions to the environment, enhance visibility, and reduce worker exposures within the containment. It will discuss the purpose of dust collector use in painting projects; define dust collector terminology; describe the types of dust collectors and the mechanisms of collection; and discuss efficiency, operation, and maintenance of dust collectors.
