Forest Service Seeking UT Painting, Reno Bids

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is soliciting bids for coating and rehabilitation to two existing guard stations, as well as the construction of a garage building.

The submittal date for this project is Sept. 21.

Scope of Work

This project involves painting, renovations and site work at Gooseberry Guard Station in Monticello, Utah.

Exterior work involves applying a three-coat latex system on cement board and ferrous metal substrates, and a three-coat epoxy system on galvanized metal substrates.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is soliciting bids for coating and rehabilitation to two existing guard stations, as well as the construction of a garage building.

Interior work is scheduled to include applying a three-coat latex system on wood, fir-tex and gypsum board surfaces, including walls and ceilings. Specified wood surfaces will receive a four-coat system of oil stain and polyurethane varnish.

Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2) and Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3).

Exterior work involves applying a three-coat latex system on cement board and ferrous metal substrates, and a three-coat epoxy system on galvanized metal substrates.

Owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Behr, Benjamin Moore & Co., Coronado, Diamond Vogel, Dunn-Edwards, Kelly-Moore, PPG Paints, Pratt & Lambert, Rust-Oleum, Sherwin-Williams, Valspar and Vista Paint.
