The Borough of Crafton in Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for improvements to an existing bathhouse building.
The submittal date for this project is Aug. 11. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. on July 25 at the project site.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and renovations to the Crafton Pool Bathhouse in Crafton, Pennsylvania.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat system of concrete, block and unprimed steel substrates. A three-coat system of zinc-rich primer and latex will be required on shop-primed steel substrates. A three-coat system of latex and polyurethane will be applied to galvanized steel and aluminum substrates.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of a three-coat system of latex on wood and concrete surfaces. Specified concrete block surfaces will receive a four-coat system of epoxy and latex. Specified wood surfaces will receive a four-coat system of stain and polyurethane varnish.

Galvanized metal surfaces will receive a five-coat system of latex and polyurethane. Gypsum board ceilings will require a three-coat system of alkyd and latex.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), and Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2).
Owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Duron, PPG Paints and Sherwin-Williams.
