Los Rios Community College District is soliciting bids for painting and renovations to a building on the campus of Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California.
The submittal date for this project is March 23.
Scope of Work
This project involves painting and remodeling to the existing Culinary Arts building at Cosumnes River College.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat latex system on wood, concrete, portland cement, aluminum, galvanized steel, iron, gypsum board and fiber cement substrates. A two-coat waterborne stain systems will also be applied on specified wood substrates.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of a three-coat latex system on wood, gypsum board, particleboard and ferrous metal surfaces. Specified wood surfaces will require two coats of polyurethane varnish and three coats of stain and sealant.

Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4) and Surface Preparation of Concrete (SSPC-SP 13/NACE No. 6).
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Dunn-Edwards, Kelly-Moore and Sherwin Williams. Behr and PPG Paints may be substituted as equivalents with architect approval.
