The City of Fresno, California, is soliciting bids for the renovation of an existing garage building into office space.
The submittal date for this project is July 9. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 12 at the project site.
This project involves renovation, painting and site work at Garage 9 on Van Ness Avenue in Fresno.
Exterior work involves applying a two-coat latex system on concrete and cement plaster surfaces; a three-coat latex system on ferrous and non-ferrous metals; and a four-coat latex system on miscellaneous metal framing.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of a three-coat latex system on gypsum board, plaster, concrete, wood and plywood, and metal doors and frames.
Surfaces will require preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning, (SSPC-SP 2), and Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3).
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Dunn Edwards, Kelly Moore, ICI or approved equal.

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board in Ontario, Canada, has awarded a contract in the amount of $1,158,777 for washroom and changing room renovations at an existing school building.
The contract was awarded to M2 Group Inc. of Grimsby, Ontario. This project involves renovation, painting and site work at Waterdown District High in Waterdown, Ontario.
Exterior work involves applying a three-coat latex system on concrete substrates; a four-coat system of zinc, galvanized primer, and exterior enamel on galvanized steel substrates; a two-coat alkyd system on ferrous metal substrates; and a two-coat stain system on wood substrates.
Interior work is scheduled to include applying a three-coat latex system on drywall, concrete block, woodwork, and pipe and duct insulation.
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project include Benjamin Moore, Dulux, Glidden, Para Paints, Pratt & Lambert, PPG Paints and Sherwin-Williams.
