All interior CMU substrates are to be coated using a three-coat system that is made up three coats of latex. Steel interior substrates are to be coated using a three-coat system that is composed of three coats of alkyd.
Gypsum board substrates on the interior are to be coated using a three-coat system that consists of three coats of latex. Finally, all interior wood substrates will be coated using a three-coat system made up of three coats of latex.
All steel substrates to be coated shall be prepared with the standards associated with Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP2), Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), Bare Metal Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 11) and Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP7).
The brand specified for this project are Benjamin Moore, Duron, ICI Paints, MAB and PPG.
