The exterior surfaces shall be coated using a three-coat system. Ferrous metals shall be finished with one coat epoxy primer and two coats of urethane. Non-ferrous and galvanized metal will have one coat of epoxy primer and two coats of urethane enamel. Any other new and existing exterior metals such has doors, frames and trim shall be coated with one coat acrylic primer and two coats acrylic finish.
In this project, the interior surfaces shall all be coated using a three-coat system. Interior metals shall be painted using one coat acrylic primer and two coats acrylic finish. Gypsum board surfaces shall be finished with one coat primer and two coats of latex, while gypsum board installed in the bathrooms shall be coated with one coat primer and two coats epoxy.
Any new and existing metal not exposed to public view shall be coated with one coat primer. All piping not exposed shall be coated with one coat primer and one coat latex.
The brands specified for this project are Sherwin Williams, PPG, Dunn-Edwards, Benjamin Moore, Valspar and Glidden.
