Scope of Work
This project involves construction and painting of the county Building Department Permitting and Training Facility in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Exterior work involves application of a three-coat system of elastomeric coating on concrete substrates, including cementitious siding, flexboard, transit board, non-roof shingles, brick and stucco.
Interior work is scheduled to include application of a three-coat system of latex and epoxy on drywall, aluminum and galvanized metal surfaces. A two-coat system of latex is required on concrete and specified galvanized metal surfaces. A three-coat system of latex will be applied to wood, structural steel and ferrous metal surfaces.

Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4), Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2), Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal (SSPC-SP 11), Metal Waterjetting Prior to Recoating (SSPC-SP 12/NACE No. 5) and Surface Preparation of Concrete (SSPC-SP 13/NACE No. 6).
The owner-specified manufacturer for this project is Sherwin-Williams.
