HDOT Soliciting Bids for Airport Reno

The Hawaii Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for painting and repairs to an air traffic control tower.

The submittal date for this project is Nov. 30.

Scope of Work

This project involves painting and site work at Kalaeloa Airport in Kapolei, Hawaii.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for painting and repairs to an air traffic control tower.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of latex on concrete masonry units, galvanized steel, PVC, aluminum and miscellaneous metal substrates; a three-coat system of epoxy and urethane on non-galvanized steel substrates; and a three-coat system of alkyd and latex on wood and plywood substrates.

Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of alkyd and latex on steel surfaces; three-coat systems of alkyd, latex and urethane on wood and plywood surfaces; and a three-coat system of latex on gypsum board surfaces.

This project involves painting and site work at Kalaeloa Airport in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Surfaces will require pressure washing, hand-tool cleaning, abrasive blast cleaning and preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1).

The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Benjamin Moore, PPG, Sherwin-Williams or approved equal.
