Bids Wanted for MN Water/Wastewater Improvements

The City of Isle, Minnesota is currently seeking contractors to improve a water and wastewater system.

Bids are due Sept. 1.

Scope of Work

This project involves the improvement of two well houses, one well and one water tower.

The City of Isle, Minnesota is currently seeking contractors to improve a water and wastewater system.

Contractors will use Commercial Blast-Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3) on exterior and interior non-immersion surfaces, then those surfaces shall be coated using a polyamide epoxy primer, intermediate coat and an aliphatic acrylic polyurethane coat.

This project also includes the Commercial Blast-Cleaning and Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6, SP 3) of exterior and interior exposure non-immersion surfaces. These surfaces shall be coated using a three-coat system composed of one coat of standard primer, one coat of polyamide intermediate and one topcoat of aliphatic acrylic polyurethane.

Potable water immersion surfaces shall be prepared using the standards associated with Near White (SSPC-SP 10), then coated using a three-coat polyamidoamine epoxy system.

In this project, concrete interior non-immersion surfaces shall be prepared using the standards associated with Concrete Cleaning (SSPC-SP 13) and coated with a two-coat polyamide epoxy system.

Surface preparation for all potable water immersion concrete surfaces will use the standards of Concrete Cleaning (SSPC-SP 13). Followed by a coating system comprised of two-coats of a polyamidoamine epoxy system

The owner-approved coating manufacturer and brand is Tnemec.
