Bids Wanted for MO Fire Station Work

The Town of Springfield, Missouri, is seeking bids for the construction and painting of the interior and exterior of Fire Station 13.

The submittal date for this project is July 14.

Scope of Work

In this project, the exterior finishes shall be coated in a three-coat system. Concrete masonry surfaces shall be coated with one coat primer and two coats acrylic. All zinc coated metals shall be finished with one coat primer and two coats alkyd.

The Town of Springfield, Missouri, is seeking bids for the construction and painting of the interior and exterior of Fire Station 13.

All interior concrete masonry shall be painted using a three-coat system of one coat latex block filler and two coats alkyd or one coat acrylic block filler and two coats epoxy. Interior gypsum drywall systems shall be finished with one coat primer and two coats alkyd or one coat primer and two coats epoxy.

All interior metals shall be coated using a three-coat system of one coat primer and two coats enamel. Interior painted woodwork and hardboard shall be finished with a three-coat system of three coats of enamel while cabinetry and stained woodwork shall be stained with a four-coat system using one coat stain and three coats polyurethane.

All surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned and prepped according to the coating manufacturer's specifications.

The brands specified for this project are Sherwin-Williams, Glidden, PPG and Benjamin Moore.
