Bids Wanted for WA Library Repainting

The Town of Issaquah, Washington, is seeking bids for the painting of the exterior of Issaquah Library. The Issaquah Library was founded in 1902 before being moved to its current location.

The submittal date for this project is June 29. The pre-bid meeting for this project is June 9. Attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory.

Scope of Work

In this project, the hollow metal doors, frames, structural steel, bollards and any non-ferrous metals shall be painted using a three-coat system made up of one coat primer and two coats alkyd.

All exterior wood trim and fascia shall have a four-coat system of one coat primer, one coat sealant and two coats of acrylic. The exterior wood singles and siding shall also be finished using a four-coat system of one coat primer, one coat sealant and two coats of acrylic.

Finally, the glue-laminated wood structure shall be finished using two coats of stain.

All surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned and power washed prior to applying finishes.

The brands specified for this project are Rodda, PPG, Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore.
