Elevated Tank Painting Project Out for Bid

The City of Hurst is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and recoat the North Precinct Line Road Elevated Storage Tank in Hurst, Texas.

Bids are due July 7.

Scope of Work

This project involves coating and repairing the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing elevated water storage tank.

The City of Hurst is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and recoat the North Precinct Line Road Elevated Storage Tank in Hurst, Texas.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior wet surfaces to Near White Standards (SSPC-SP 10). The interior wet surfaces will be coated with a urethane zinc-rich primer, epoxy, intermediate and 100% solids high-build epoxy finish coating.

The interior dry surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Near White Standards (SSPC-SP 10) and coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy finish.

The exterior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6) and coated with a urethane zinc-rich primer, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and an advanced thermoset solution fluoropolymer finish.

The work will also include applying a logo with an advanced thermoset solution fluoropolymer finish.

Full containment equipped with skirted roof bonnet and ground cover including dust collect is required.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
