For coated steel structures requiring rehabilitation, steel surfaces will require Commercial Grade Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 15).

For steel requiring shop coating, a three-coat organic or inorganic zinc-rich system is required. Maintenance coating of steel or iron surfaces will require a three-coat organic zinc-rich system. Steel and iron surfaces receiving field application of coatings will receive a three-coat surface tolerant zinc-rich system.
