FL School District Seeks Bids for Multiple Buildings

The Pinellas County School District in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking bids for the painting, waterproofing and renovations to various buildings within the school district.

The submittal date for this project is April 26.

Scope of Work

In this project, all exterior concrete shall be coated using a four-coat system that consists of two coats of block filler followed by two coats of acrylic. All metal surfaces shall be coated using a three-coat system made up of one coat of primer followed by two coats of polyurethane.

All exterior wood in this project will be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of one coat of primer and two coats of acrylic.

All interior concrete shall be coated using a four-coat system that is made up of two coats of block filler and two coats of epoxy. All interior metals are to be coated using a three-coat system that is consisting of two coats of epoxy primer followed by two coats of polyurethane.

Interior gypsum is to be coated using a three-coat system composed of one coat of primer and two coats of epoxy. Finally, wood surfaces on the interior are to be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of one coat of enamel and two coats of epoxy.

All metal surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned with the standards associated with Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), White Metal Blasting (SSPC-SP 5), and/or Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6).
