Bids Sought for VA Library Painting Project

The City of Richmond, Virginia, is seeking bids for the painting of the Hull Street Library. The library was built in 1987 as a branch office to the Richmond Public Library system.

The submittal date for this project is March 24.

Scope of Work

In this project, the interior surfaces, including concrete, shall be painted with a three-coat paint system made of one coat of primer and two coats of latex. The topcoat shall be painted with an eggshell sheen finish.

All surfaces frequented by occupants, including wood, shall be coated with one coat of primer and two coats of latex with a semi-gloss finish.

The exterior flashing shall be coated with bituminous paint in a dark bronze to match the existing paint.

All surfaces are to be cleaned prior to any new application according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
