Interior gypsum surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system consisting of one coat of primer followed by two coats of latex. Interior metal shall be coated using a three-coat system that is composed of one coat of primer and two coats of acrylic. Finally, interior wood will be coated using a three-coat system that is comprised of one coat of primer and then two coats of latex.
All ferrous metal surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned using the standards associated with Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2).
The brands specified for this project are Behr, Benjamin Moore, Glidden and PPG.
