Multiple Reservoir Rehab Project Out for Bid

The City of North Las Vegas is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate three existing reservoirs in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bids are due Jan. 13, 2021.

The cost of the project is estimated to run between $5.5 million and $6.2 million.

Scope of Work

This project involves rehabilitating and recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of two 3 million-gallon and one 7.5 million-gallon ground water storage tanks.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will be coated with an epoxy system.

The exterior of the tanks will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3). The exterior surfaces will be coated with an epoxy-polyurethane system.

The work also includes abrasive blast cleaning the concrete foundation surfaces to Concrete Standards (SSPC-SP 13). The foundation surfaces will be coated with an epoxy system.

The project also involves providing containment and installing cathodic protection systems.

The owner-approved coating manufacturers include Sherwin-Williams and Tnemec.
