Bids Wanted for CA Library Renovation

The city of Santa Cruz, California, is seeking bids for the renovation of the Garfield Park Public Library.

Scope of Work

This project involves the renovation of the Garfield Park Public Library located in Santa Cruz, California.

The city of Santa Cruz, California, is seeking bids for the renovation of the Garfield Park Public Library.

In this project, all exterior cement plaster surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system made up of one coat of acrylic primer followed by two coats of flat exterior acrylic.

Next, all wood surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system of one coat of primer followed by two coats of oil-based exterior enamel. Last, all exterior ferrous and galvanized metals will be coated using a three-coat system of one coat of acrylic-latex primer followed by two coats of acrylic-latex enamel.

All interior gypsum board surfaces will be coated using two-coat system of one coat of latex primer and one coat of acrylic latex. Then, all interior wood surfaces will be coated using three coats of waterborne acrylic urethane finish.

Interior steel to be coated shall be cleaned using the standards associated with Surface Preparation of Concrete (SSPC-SP 13), and Zinc-Rich Coating Type I Inorganic and Type II Organic (SSPC-SP 20).

The brands specified for this project are Benjamin Moore and approved equals.
