The City of San Clementa, California, is asking prospective consultants to submit proposals for city-wide culvert and bridge structural assessment. Work is to be performed on six existing bridge and culvert structures. Structural concrete and steel coating is required.

The City of San Clemente, California, is seeking prospective consultants to submit proposals for a city-wide culvert and bridge rehabilitation.

Shop-primed ferrous metal interior and exterior surfaces will require surface preparation via Solvent Cleaning or Hand-Tool Cleaning standards (SSPC-SP 1, SSPC-SP 2). Unprimed ferrous metal will require surface preparation to Commercial or Brush-Off Blast-Cleaning standards (SSPC-SP 6, SSPC- SP 7). Metal surfaces will then receive a polyamide epoxy primer followed by an aliphatic acrylic polyurethane finish coat.
Metal interior surfaces with severe exposure will receive surface preparation to Solvent Cleaning, Hand-Tool Cleaning, or White Metal surface preparation standards (SSPC-SP 1, SSPC-SP 2, SSPC-SP 5) and will be coated with a novolac vinyl ester primer and finish coat.
Exterior galvanized, aluminum, copper, or brass surfaces will require surface preparation via Solvent Cleaning, Hand-Tool Cleaning, or Commercial cleaning standards (SSPC-SP 1, SSPC-SP 2, SSPC-SP 6) and coating with a polyamide epoxy primer and high-performance finish coating.
Interior concrete and masonry surfaces will require surface preparation and coating with a two-coat polyamide epoxy system. Exterior concrete and masonry surfaces will require surface cleaning and coating with a two-coat acrylic emulsion system.
The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
