WA 2-Tank Coating Project Out for Bid

The City of Walla Walla is currently seeking contractors to improve the Mill Creek Water Tanks in Walla Walla, Washington.
 
Bids are due Aug. 20. A pre-bid meeting will be held Aug. 13.
 
Scope of Work
 
This project involves cleaning and recoating the exterior surfaces of two existing 7-million-gallon steel ground water storage tanks.

The City of Walla Walla is currently seeking contractors to improve the Mill Creek Water Tanks in Walla Walla, Washington.

Contractors will high pressure-wash (3,000 psi) and power tool-clean the exterior tank surfaces to Bare Metal standards (SSPC-SP 11). 

The exterior surfaces will be spot-prime coated with an epoxy or acrylic-polyurethane system. 
 
The work also includes finish coating the exterior surfaces with a fluoropolymer system. 
 
The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec or an approved equal.
