Contractors Needed for MA Standpipe Rehabilitation

The Town of Medfield is currently seeking contractors to improve the Mt. Nebo Standpipe Tank in Medfield, Massachusetts.

Bids are due May 29. The engineer’s estimate is $550,000.

Scope of Work

This project involves recoating and rehabilitating an existing 2.4-million-gallon standpipe.

Town of Medfield

The Town of Medfield is currently seeking contractors to improve the Mt. Nebo Standpipe Tank in Medfield, Massachusetts.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean the interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy system.

The exterior surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate and acrylic-polyurethane finish.

A containment system is required.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
