Bids are due for this project by March 20.

Scope of Work

The awarded contractor will be responsible for the preparation of steel and concrete block surfaces and the removal and replacement of bench seating, in addition to the coating of the seating areas, exterior press box, ticket booths, front side, portions of the back side and ends of the existing stadium. The contractor will also be responsible for the replacement and coating of various railings and removal of select steel elements of the stadium.

After preparing concrete masonry units and concrete substrates scheduled to be coated, the contractor will apply one coat of a high-build epoxy, followed by two coats of a high-performance polyurethane.

When coating scheduled steel substrates, the contractor is to first remove abandoned conduits, followed by proper cleaning methods. Remaining steel and disturbed areas are to then be primed and coated with one coat of epoxy and two coats of a high-solid industrial urethane system. When coating galvanized-metal substrates, the contractor is instructed to clean the surfaces and coat them with one coat of a high-build semi-gloss epoxy and two coats of a two-part urethane enamel.

Prior to coating wood substrates, the contractor is to remove, repair or replace damaged ticket booth fascia. Once this work has been completed, the contractor is instructed to prepare surfaces scheduled to be coated and apply an alkyd primer and two coats of an interior/exterior universal alkyd system.
