Repairs Needed at OH's Great American Ballpark

Hamilton County is soliciting contractors for the concrete and waterproofing repairs at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, home of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. 

The park opened in 2003 after replacing Cinergy Field, the previous home of the Reds, which was demolished in 2002. The park has a capacity of 42,036 and is also home to the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum.

This project is estimated to cost $200,000.

Bids are due for this project by Dec. 19.

Scope of Work 

The awarded contractor is responsible for various concrete and waterproofing repairs at the Great American Ball Park. Prior to these repairs, the contractor is to clean surfaces to be coated to Wire Wheel (SSPC-SP3) and Commercial (SSPC-SP6) standard. The contractor may then use paint to mark any areas of concrete that are to be removed for this project.

Once the contractor has sawcut the areas of concrete and repairs have been made, the contractor may apply an epoxy water emulsion primer/sealer curing compound. The contractor will also be responsible for the coating of all curbs, columns, walls, etc. to match the existing color. In addition, the contractor is also to make repairs to buried waterproofing systems.

Owner-approved brands include: Sherwin-Williams, BASF and Sika.
