Elevated Tank Rehab in FL Out for Bid

The City of Ormond Beach is seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of the Water Treatment Plant elevated water-storage tank in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Bids are due Aug. 2.

Scope of Work

This project involves rehabilitating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The City of Ormond Beach is seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of the water treatment plant elevated water storage tank in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean wet interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy system. Dry interior surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3) and coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy system.

The exterior tank surfaces will be pressure-washed and abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), and coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer finish. Owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, Sherwin-Williams, Carboline, Induron or an approved equal.  

The work also includes furnishing and installing a logo and removing and relocating antennas.

Containment and disposal of abrasive-blast debris is required.
