GENERAL JOB De
An employee who possess an understanding of powder coating operations and can operate painting equipment including understanding the equipment settings for each applied coating. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation of painting equipment including making changes needed.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPEREINCE
Minimum of 2 years field experience in paint prep, paint masking, and racking/hanging techniques.
Minimum of 2 years field experience prior to coating on a daily basis.
High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Possess in-depth knowledge of various application techniques.
Ability to apply shop mathematics
Ability to utilize instructions / pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and produce repeatable results.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to identify possible defects / improvements and bring forth to supervisors and engineering.
Ability to train lower level painters to improve.
Ability to operate / program powder coating machines.
Ability to follow TDS related to desired mil thickness, mixing and curing techniques.
WORKING CONDITIONS WORK ENVIRONMENT
Use of hand tools including sanders, grinders, and industrial paint equipment required.
Ability to work standing for an 8 hour shift.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Eye protections and gloves required at all times.
Dust masks or respirators to be worn while powder coating, or apply liquid coatings.
HOURS / SHIFTS
FIRST SHIFT 5AM – 1:30PM M-F
SECOND SHIFT 1:20PM – 9:50PM M-F
