Growing global chemical manufacturer is looking for a Lab Technician for their Northfield campus. This position is long-term with potential up to 18 months. You would assist with the development of additives for latex synthesis, pigment grinding, architectural and industrial paint formulation amongst other applications. You would work collaboratively in a team environment to drive projects to completion. You would also be executing projects and assignments independently, analyzing data generated, drawing conclusions and making suggestions for future action. You would have the ability to develop or improve application testing methods and formulations and conduct or refine synthesis runs. The team consists of extremely bright, collaborative and tenured Chemists who are empowered to provide solutions for a cleaner, healthier and more energy efficient world. Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field
- 6+ months of experience in a research lab
- Coatings formulation and/or evaluation experience (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies (instrumentation, test methods, software, etc.).
- Strong initiative, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. Must also have an attention to detail and possess good organization skills.
