COMMERCIAL PAINT ESTIMATOR NEED COMMERCIAL PAINT ESTIMATOR NEED COMMERCIAL PAINT ESTIMATOR NEED
Paint Estimator Responsibilities: - Through contacts with General Contractors and online plan rooms, compile a Schedule of Projects to bid
- Communicate with team members and trade partners regarding new and current projects
- Perform takeoffs of projects
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
- Ensure timely completion of all estimates
- Review and evaluate cost estimates
- Understand scope of work to bid
- Manage bid pricing from all vendors
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors
- Obtain bids and price quotes from vendors and subcontractors as needed
Skills/Qualifications - Prefer construction industry experience. Familiarity with the painting industry.
- Prefer experience in construction estimating.
- Accounting experience is a bonus for cost estimating
- Must know how to read architectural plans and specifications
- Must have an understanding of construction processes, paint specific can be taught
- Must be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Problem solving skills are highly valued
- Bilingual is huge a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially a high proficiency in Excel
- Experience with any construction estimating software is preferred, experience with Planswift or On Screen Takeoff is highly valued
- Strong communication skills are important
- Organizational skills are highly important
- Attention to detail is an absolute must
