Job Overview:
The area functional leader for QHSES team personnel. Leads the QHSES culture program across the area. Supports development and ensures implementation within the area of the global QHSES plans underpinning the strategy. Provides oversight, governance and support for project execution, continual improvement of processes and measurements of business performance.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Drives QHSES strategic thinking and action within the Area.
  • Ensures QHSES strategies are communicated effectively and understood across the organization.
  • Supports development and implementation of the tools and processes required to support the QHSES function.
  • Measures and continuously improves the effectiveness of the QHSES function and processes.
  • Responsible for QHSES functional budgets within the Area.
  • Monitor for effectiveness and assist in implementation of the Business Management System.
  • Prepares annual QHSES program and activity plans.
  • Maintains adequate levels of competent QHSES personnel within the area
  • Other duties related to QHSES function, as directed by Area VP or VP Global QHSES.
  • Development and maintenance of Area Certifications such as ISO, ASME, SSPC, etc.
  • Perform QHSES Assurance activities to ensure effective implementation of processes across the organization.
  • Ensure effective tracking and sharing of lessons learned and best practices to drive improvement and learning.
  • Support the measure and analysis of QHSES non-conformities within the area.
  • Engagement in Project Reviews for monitoring of QHSES performance and involvement with needed support
  • Level III NDE Certification Required
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 15 years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction and/or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive functional, business, industry and leadership expertise.
  • Professional Membership of relevant institutions QHSES
  • Fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
  • Have wide experience with technical activities, including fabrication activities.
  • Maintain key competencies associated with the QHSES function.
  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
  • Be conversant with local and international QHSES laws, regulations and norms.
  • Level III NDE Certification Required
