HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLER JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking Assemblers for a busy heavy metal machinery company in the Amsterdam area. Positions are full time. Must be mechanical inclined or experience working with mechanical tools, and have some assembly experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Positions are full time, M-F, salary will be $14/hr.
The Hydraulic Assembler is a member of the Machine Shop Team and is primarily responsible for fabricating, assembling, testing, and reworking hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power systems and machined components.
Assemble and test hydraulic cylinders from manufactured and supplied components. Rebuild and test of returned cylinders for remanufactured supply. Fluid fill, assemble and test hydraulic power units to specified scope and settings. Fabricate or modify metal components for use in cylinders and weld fabrications using manually controlled machining equipment (non-CNC) including drills, saws, lathes, mills, grinding and honing equipment etc. Set up and operate bench machinery required to perform part fabrication and assembly operations.

The Production Leader is primarily responsible for coordination of production activities by establishing priorities for production orders. This position directs the work and the personnel of various production activities during the company’s Shift #2. This includes oversight of welding, grinding, burn table operation, and general floor work. The Shift #2 Production Leader assumes leadership responsibilities for all team members during those shift hours where other team leaders are not present. This role sets production goals, organizes and assigns work, and maintains a productive and motivated climate.
