Position Summary:
The individual will be responsible for traveling to customer locations giving routine guidance and assistance with use of Carboline products.
Providing assistance with project startups, sales demonstrations, applicator training and is able to work through customer related problems and complaints.
The ideal candidate will be located in East Texas or Northern Louisiana.
Relocations would be considered.
Duties:
• Travel approximately 75% of the time. Travel can include Mexico and Canada (passport required)
• Contact customers / salesmen to gather pertinent data prior to field trips.
• Demonstrate proper use of mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment, etc., to apply Carboline products in the assigned divisions.
• Interpret surface preparation standards per specifications.
• Demonstrate use and techniques involved with inspections equipment.
• Train supervisors, inspectors, and painters and QC departments in the above technical areas.
• Assist in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations.
• Carry out procedures as defined in the Technical Service Procedures Manual.
• Perform assigned routine office duties as required for department function. This includes reporting on all field visits to customer.
• Provide assistance to the rail sales department. This includes but is not limited to: spray demonstrations, courtesy inspections, feedback on material requirements and the overall work load at customer locations.
• Should be proficient using a personal computer and demonstrate moderate proficiency with Microsoft Word for preparing reports and TruQC for coatings inspections, applications, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Requirements:
• 4 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience - preferred experience in rail car coatings applications
• 5-10 years Technical Service experience
• NACE Certified CIP preferred.
