The City of Santa Cruz, California, is currently seeking contractors for the replacement and coating of a 400,000-gallon steel water storage tank.

Scope of Work
The project involves decommissioning and removal of the existing 400,000-gallon water storage tank, and construction of a new steel 400,000-gallon tank on the existing foundation, along with assoicated repairs and upgrades.
The exterior surfaces of the new tank will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a Near-White Metal finish (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2) and coated with a zinc/urethane coating system.
The interior surfaces of the new tank will be abrasive blas-cleaned to a White Metal finish (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1) and coated with an epoxy coating system.

Containment will also be required. Coating brands specified for this project are Tnemec, PPG, International and Sherwin-Williams.
