The City of Cape Coral is soliciting bids for the construction of a new recreational building at Lake Kennedy Park in Cape Coral, Florida.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of epoxy on ferrous metal surfaces, including exposed, covered and submerged pipe. A single-coat system of epoxy-coal tar is required on manholes, wet wells and valve vaults. A two-coat system of epoxy and urethane is required on PVC pipelines. A three-coat system of zinc, epoxy, and urethane is required on specified exposed metal surfaces with chemical contact. A three-coat system of latex is required on fiber cement shingles and trim.
Interior work is scheduled to include a single-coat system of epoxy liner on sewer wet wells and specified manholes. A two-coat system of epoxy will be required on aluminum surfaces in contact with concrete. A three-coat system of latex will be required on structural steel surfaces. A three-coat system of epoxy will be required on concrete masonry units.
Surfaces will require preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4), Pickling (SSPC-SP 8), Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2), Bare Metal Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 11) and Surface Preparation of Concrete (SSPC-SP 13/NACE No. 6).
The owner-specified manufacturers for this project are Behr, Benjamin Moore & Co., Devoe Coatings, PPG, Sherwin-Williams and Tnemec.
