Bids Wanted for OR Youth Correctional Facility

The Oregon Department of Administrative Services is soliciting bids for painting and remodeling at a youth correctional facility in Tillamook, Oregon.

The submittal date for this project is Sept. 8.

A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Aug. 25 at the job site. Appointments must be scheduled by 2 p.m. Aug. 22 via email to attend the conference.

Scope of Work

This project involves painting of exterior and interior surfaces at the Camp Tillamook Youth Transitional Facility.

The Oregon Department of Administrative Services is soliciting bids for painting and remodeling at a youth correctional facility in Tillamook, Oregon.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of alkyd on steel and galvanized metal substrates and a two-coat system of latex on fiber cement surfaces, including lap siding and sheet siding. Specified metal substrates will require three-coat systems of polyurethane enamel.

Interior work is scheduled to include a three-coat system of latex on concrete masonry units, steel and galvanized metal surfaces. A four-coat system of latex will be required on gypsum board and plaster surfaces.

Surfaces will require preparation in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 5/NACE No. 1) and Pickling (SSPC-SP 8).

The manufacturers specified for this project are Benjamin Moore, Columbia, ICI Paints, Kelly-Moore, Kwal-Howells, PPG, Rodda and Sherwin-Williams.
