Contractors Needed for KS Standpipe Recoating

The City of Olathe in Kansas is currently seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of an existing standpipe.

Bids are due Sept. 9.

Scope of Work

This project involves the providing of professional services for the rehabilitation of an existing standpipe in Olathe, Kansas.

This project includes the abrasive blast-cleaning of interior surfaces followed by coating application. It also involves the abrasive blast-cleaning of the roof and railing of the standpipe and the partial overcoating of tank exterior surfaces.

The City of Olathe in Kansas is currently seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of an existing standpipe.

Previously, the tank was coated in 2011 by Leher Painting. The existing paint system is reported to be a zinc/epoxy system on wet surfaces, zinc/epoxy on interior dry surfaces and zinc/epoxy/urethane on exterior surfaces. The existing coating manufacturer for this project is Induron.

Coating inspection for this project is required.

The work will be performed between October 2023 and May 2024.
