Rock County is soliciting bids for painting, renovations and site work at its jail in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Exterior work involves a three-coat system of alkyd on galvanized metal and steel substrates. Wood substrates will require a two-coat system of stain. Gypsum board soffits will require a two-coat system of latex.
Interior work is scheduled to require a three-coat system of latex on concrete, plaster and drywall surfaces. Three and two-coat systems of satin enamel will be required on structural steel, ferrous metal and miscellaneous metal surfaces.
Surfaces must be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3), Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3), Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7/NACE No. 4), Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2) and Bare Metal Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 11).
Manufacturers specified for this project are Benjamin Moore, Diamond Vogel, Hallman/Lindsay, PPG Paints, Pratt & Lambert and Sherwin-Williams.
