Bids Wanted for CO Building Remodel

Moffat County, Colorado, is accepting bids for the remodeling of a former Kmart big box store into the new county courthouse and offices.

The submittal date for this project is Sept. 1. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the project location. Prospective bidders are requested to attend.

Scope of Work

This project involves painting and construction of the new county courthouse and office space.

Exterior steel surfaces will require a three-coat system consisting of alkyd. Concrete substrates will require a three-coat system consisting of latex.

Interior work involves three-coat systems consisting of latex. Gypsum board substrates will also require a three-coat system consisting of epoxy.

Surfaces are to be cleaned and prepared in accordance with standards for Hand-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3) and Bare Metal Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 11).

Brands specified for this project are Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and PPG Paints.
