Contractor Connect Scheduled for November

Friday, July 30, 2021

It’s official: Technology’s Publishing Company’s popular hosted buyer event for the protective and marine coatings industry, Contractor Connect, has been added to the 2021 calendar!

Taking place over three days, the in-person event will bring together qualified buyers (contractors) and sellers (suppliers) for a variety of networking activities and prescheduled one-on-one meetings.

The event is slated to take place from Nov. 2-5, at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, Florida.

Four Years of Connecting Industry Players

Technology Publishing’s inaugural Contractor Connect event took place back in 2017 at the historic Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama, on the shores of Mobile Bay.

During the event, attendees were given the opportunity to brush up on the latest developments in technology and regulations, attend private meetings, discuss business opportunities and enjoy group recreational activities that gave industry peers a chance to get to know each other better.

For its second installation, the event was hosted at Hammock Beach resort and had a roster of delegates that included executives from 21 painting contractors and 22 manufacturers and suppliers, in addition to other various major coatings companies and equipment manufacturers.

Similar to its debut, the conference boasted three panel discussions and a full day of one-on-one meetings.

It’s official: Technology’s Publishing Company’s popular hosted buyer event for the protective and marine coatings industry, Contractor Connect, has been added to the 2021 calendar!

In 2019, Contractor Connect traveled to the Southwest to the Omni Tucson National Resort in Tucson, Arizona. As in previous years, TPC CEO Brion Palmer reported that the event was another hit for all involved.

“The event was a great success, and it’s a perfect platform for us to connect contractors with the major suppliers in the industry,” he said at the time. “We take the responsibility of helping connect our two core audiences together seriously, and we take great pride in the continued growth and success of this unique event.”

Beyond creating connections, Contractor Connect upped its panel discussions, featuring five panels related to coatings, surface preparation equipment, painting project equipment and the current workforce. Networking activities were also a major hit, as attendees had the option of participating in a golf tournament, clay shooting, mesquite-smoked whiskey sampling, and a trip to the Desert Museum, among other opportunities.

In the wake of COVID-19 in 2020, Technology Publishing announced that it would instead be hosting a new virtual event, PaintSquare Connect. The virtual conference aimed to serve a broader audience through its curriculum tracks (Protective and Marine Coatings; Commercial Coatings and Solutions; Surface Preparation; and Equipment) and product pavilion featuring virtual booths.

PaintSquare Connect also featured a Connect Rewards Program, where attendees who accumulated the largest volume of points had the chance to win one of ten top prizes. Three $500 gift cards were also awarded throughout the conference’s registration period.
