Routt Country

Routt County is seeking contractors to paint and repair the Tree Haus Bridge located on Mount Warner Rd. in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, over the Yampa River.

The Tree Haus Bridge was originally constructed in 1998 and is a total length of 122 feet. The bridge was re-stained in 2005 using Cooper Napthenate wood preservative and was re-stained again in 2016. The current condition of the old paint/stain is reportedly poor.

The chosen contractor will oversee the partial removal of old paint and the restoration of wood surfaces. The County would like to maintain the aesthetics and natural color of the wood. The wood protecting product that will be used must provide UV protection and some water repellency.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Wood Iron, or an approved equivalent.

Containment is required.
