PA Elevated Water Tank Rehab Out for Bid

The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and coat an existing elevated water storage tank in Southampton, Pennsylvania.

Bids are due Feb. 18.

Scope of Work

This project involves recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 200,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and coat an existing elevated water storage tank in Southampton, Pennsylvania.

The interior wet surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The wet interior surfaces will be coated with a zinc primer and epoxy finish.

The exterior of the tank will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3). The exterior surfaces will be coated with a zinc primer, polyurethane intermediate and fluorourethane finish. A logo will also be painted on the exterior of the tank.

Containment is required.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Sherwin-Williams.
