MS Tank Repainting Out for Bid

The Culkin Water District is currently seeking contractors to repaint the Culkin Water Tank in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Bids are due Dec. 15.

Scope of Work

This project involves coating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 200,000-gallon elevated water storage tanks.

The Culkin Water District is currently seeking contractors to repaint the Culkin Water Tank in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich primer and two-coat epoxy system.

The exterior of the tank will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3). The exterior surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer finish.

A containment system for lead abatement is required.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
