In this project, all exterior masonry will be coated using a three-coat system of one coat of block filler and two coats of latex enamel. All exterior metal surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system of one coat of alkyd primer and two coats of alkyd enamel.
All interior wood surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system composed of three coats of latex. Interior concrete surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of one coat of sealer followed by two coats of latex. Interior metals are to be coated using a three-coat system made up of three coats of latex.
All gypsum board surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system composed of one coat of alkyd sealer and two coats of latex enamel.
Steel and iron surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned using the standards associated with Hand-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3) and Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1).
The brands specified for this project are ICI Paints, Duron, Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore.
