MD School Seeks Bids for Auditorium Reno

The Washington County Public Schools in Hagerstown, Maryland, is seeking bids for the renovation of an auditorium and stage at the Boonsboro High School. The Boonsboro High School was constructed in 1958.

The submittal date for this project is Nov. 11.

Scope of Work

The Washington County Public Schools in Hagerstown, Maryland, is seeking bids for the renovation of an auditorium and stage at the Boonsboro High School. The Boonsboro High School was constructed is 1958.

In this project, all interior masonry will be coated using a three-coat system. This system will be made up of one coat of latex followed by two coats of latex semi-gloss. Gypsum board and plaster will be coated using a three-coat system of latex.

Any interior ferrous metal shall be coated using a three-coat system that consists of primer followed by two coats of acrylic-epoxy. Wood interior surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system comprised of one coat of undercoater and two coats of alkyd.

All exterior ferrous metals will be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of one coat of primer and two coats of all-purpose house paint. Finally, all zinc coated metal will be coated using a three-coat system consisting of one coat of primer and two coats of finish.

Metal surfaces to be coated shall be cleaned using the standards associated with Hand-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), and Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6).

The brands specified for this project are PPG, Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Valspar and Duron.
