Scope of Work
The City of Fayetteville is accepting sealed bids from licensed professionals for improvements to the Razorback Greenway Tunnel under the Fulbright Expressway. The project includes complete cleaning of the existing tunnel, new concrete flooring placement, storm drainage improvements, installing flood plates on the south face of the box culvert and coating application.

Work will include 20,558 square feet of tunnel wall and ceiling cleaning and coating application. The walls and ceiling within the tunnel will require pressure washing, drying and preparation. The surfaces will receive one heavy coat of an exterior primer/sealer for concrete surfaces. If coverage is not uniform, an additional coating may be required. The owner-approved manufacturer is Valspar or an approved equivalent.
The awarded contractor will oversee application of a thin coating of rapid curing cutback asphalt or emulsified asphalt to contact surfaces of curbing, gutters and manholes.
The project will include application of a Class 1 ordinary surface finish to all concrete surfaces. A Class 2 rubbed finish will be applied to exposed retaining walls, wingwalls, concrete rails, rail posts, end posts, parapets and outside facing members. Unless otherwise specified, the color of the sprayed finish will be concrete gray or an approved equivalent.
A Class 3 finish will be used on all surfaces requiring a Class 2 finish, provided the same class of finish is used on the entire job. A Class 3 sprayed finish commercial texturing synthetic non-alkyd resin containing mica, perlite and non-biodegradable fibers. Concrete pavement surfaces will receive a Class 5 tined roadway surface finish.
