Bids Wanted for OR Fire Station Roof Work

The City of Eugene, Oregon, is seeking bids for the replacement of a roof and HVAC at Fire Stations 2 and 6. Fire Station 2 was opened in 1999 and is the largest station in Eugene.

The submittal date for this project is June 9.

Scope of Work

This project involves the replacement of a roof and HVAC system at two fire stations located in Eugene, Oregon.

The City of Eugene, Oregon, is seeking bids for the replacement of a roof and HVAC at Fire Stations 2 and 6. Fire Station 2 was opened in 1999 and is the largest station in Eugene.

In this project, all galvanized surfaces are to be coated using a two-coat system. This consists of one coat of etching primer and one coat of acrylic paint. All uncoated steel and iron surfaces are to be coated using a two-coat system consisting of primer followed by spot prime paint repairs.

Shop primed steel surfaces are to be coated using a two-coat system made up of one coat of primer and one coat of acrylic paint. Finally, all previously painted stucco, gypsum board, concrete, concrete block, wood and metal surfaces are to be cleaned, primed and touched up.

The brands specified for this project are Glidden, Miller, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams and PPG.
