Bids Wanted for NV School Repairs

Scope of Work

This project involves the repair and replacement of soffits at the Sparks Middle School located in Reno, Nevada.

The Washoe County School District in Reno, Nevada, is seeking bids for the repair and replacement of soffits at the Sparks Middle School.

In this project, all exterior metal surfaces are to be coated using a three-coat system that consists of one coat of primer and two coats of exterior semi-gloss acrylic enamel. All galvanized metal surfaces on the exterior will be coated using a three-coat system. This system will consist of one coat of primer and two coats of semi-gloss acrylic enamel.

Any previously unfinished or stained wood surfaces are to be finished using a three-coat system. Finally, existing previously painted masonry or stucco is to be finished using a two-coat system.

Surface preparation for this project includes Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP 1), Hand-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 2), and Brush-Off Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7).

The brands specified for this project are PPG, Fuller-O’Brien, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Kelly-Moore and approved equals.
