In this project, all exterior concrete masonry unit substrates are to be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of one coat of primer, one coat of latex and one topcoat of latex.
Any exterior galvanized-metal substrate in this project is to be coated using a three-coat system comprised of one coat of primer followed by two coats of latex. Exterior gypsum board substrates in this project are to be coated using a three-coat system that is made up of three coats of latex.
Interior CMU substrates are to be coated using a three-coat system comprised of three coats of latex. Steel substrates are to be coated using a two-coat system that is made up of one coat of primer and one coat of alkyd.
Galvanized-metal substrates on the interior are to be coated using a three-coat system that is comprised of one coat of primer and two coats of latex. Interior gypsum board substrates will be coated using a three-coat system consisting of three coats of latex.
Finally, all interior acoustic tectum panels and tiles will be coated using a two-coat system that is made up of one prime coat of latex and one topcoat of latex.
Surface preparation for this project includes the touching up of shop-primed surfaces (SSPC-PA 1) for steel substrates.
