All steel framing and new built-up interior steel framing surfaces are to be prepared primed and painted. All the interior existing and new structural steel framing is to be coated using a three-coat system. This coating system will consist of one coat of primer and is to be followed by two coats of paint.
Surface preparation for this project includes Cold-Applied Asphalt Mastic (SSPC-Paint 12), Hand Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP2), Power Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP3), and Solvent Cleaning (SSPC-SP1).
The sole brand specified for this project is Sherwin-Williams.
