Bids Needed for AK University Work

The University of Alaska, Fairbanks is seeking bids for the modernization of an elevator within the Duckering Building. The university is home to around 8,000 students and was founded in 1917.

The submittal date for this project is March 2.

Scope of Work

This project involves the modernization of an elevator within the Duckering Building located at the University of Alaska, Faribanks.

The University of Alaska, Fairbanks is seeking bids for the modernization of an elevator within the Duckering Building.

Interior gypsum board surfaces within this project are to be coated using a three-coat system consisting of a prime coat of latex, an intermediate coat of latex and a topcoat of latex semi-gloss. All interior concrete substrates in this project are to be coated using a three-coat system consisting of one prime coat of latex floor enamel, one intermediate coat of latex floor enamel and one topcoat of latex floor enamel.

All substrates to be coated are to be cleaned of all substances such as dust, dirt, oil, grease and incompatible paints and encapsulants. The brand specified in this project is Carboline.
